Donations Needed for Facility Expansion
I am excited to announce that Fox Tale Sanctuary is embarking upon Phase 1 of a large project over the next 12-18 months that will create a wonderful pavilion to house all of our current foxes at the sanctuary but allow us to help more in need.
This project is currently estimated to be in the neighborhood of $100,000+. Complete with running water, drainage, and electricity… proper roofing and roll-down sides to protect against the elements… food prep station… storage… a place where visitors can enjoy their majesty! Phase 2 (future and separate capital project) will be a completely fenced-in play yard, dig-proof and filled with adventures for each fox to enjoy.
So many unpredictable situations will arise that we need to be prepared for— so that we can continue to provide top-level care for those foxes like Jasper and Willow (animal neglect case) or Stinker (3-day-old kit requiring round-the-clock care). This is a first glance at the capital project we are working to fund. If you would like to be a part of this initiative, please reach out! As this unfolds, we will keep you all up to date! Materials for this expansion are estimated at $85,000-$100,000.

Our Story
There is a misconception that foxes are 'domesticated'. It is more along the lines of taming, which is done to an individual animal and not a population.
It is accomplished by accustoming the animal to having humans in their environment and is most effective when done at a very young age before a natural fear of humans takes over......
Fox Rescue Team
Michelle has always had a passion for animals dating back to childhood. She was 'that kid' who brought home every orphaned animal she could trying to convince her parents to allow her to keep them. As an adult, the family vet knew that if there was an animal in need, Michelle was bringing it in. Her first BIG 'rescue' was a homeless, pregnant cat that was suffering from extreme neurological issues and was not able to stand, walk or eat on her own. The goal was to keep momma cat safe and comfortable in order to give those babies in her belly a chance at life. Several healthy kittens resulted from those efforts and were adopted into loving homes.
Meet Our Foxes
This kit season, Fox Tale Sanctuary became the home to 7 babies in need. Each fox that comes into the sanctuary immediately sees the exotic vet, receives vaccinations, is microchipped, and will be spayed/ neutered and immediate costs quickly escalate beyond $800.

OUR MISSION
Fox Tale Sanctuary rescues and provides sanctuary to captive-bred foxes to prevent abandonment, abuse, neglect, and needless death as well as the illegal release of captive-bred foxes from private owner(s) and captive-bred fur farms. Efforts and actions focus primarily on captive-bred foxes and their welfare activities, such as feeding, housing, maintaining, enriching, and providing veterinary services for rescued captive-bred foxes. Additionally, we provide expert education to the public concerning the differences between captive-bred foxes and wild foxes, as well as instilling knowledge of the demands of owning a captive-bred fox, all the while increasing awareness of the harsh realities of what captive-bred foxes face while living out their existence in fur farms across the United States.
